Our First Dance Surprise

Since we decided against a formal sparkler exit for our wedding, we knew we wanted to include something special. After talking to our lovely wedding photographer, she brought up the idea of bringing snow to our first dance and she showed us a beautiful portrait she had taken from one or her previous weddings. Since most of my husband's friends would be traveling from Minnesota, we felt that bringing snow to Charleston would be such a fun surprise! So that's what we did! This decision was one of those last minute, if it works great, if it doesn't that's okay things, but I am so glad it worked! We may have gotten blasted by snow foam a few times, but these portraits were totally worth it!

My advice for couples planning their big day, you don't always have to go with what everyone else is doing. Have fun and make it your own! I had never seen snow at a wedding and this was one of my favorite memories from our day.
